First Intern work day with my mentor

I spent the day at the high school that my mentor services and it was very productive.  I got the chance to assist in a training of the hand held Smart-boards and the "Clickers" from e-Instructions.  These are pretty neat devices that the students will have fun with and hopefully absorb some of the instruction being taught from the teachers.  I could see the excitement in the teachers eyes.  Some were voicing ideas aloud on what practical uses the could come up in their classroom.  After the training my mentor used me for what I thought she would. Unpaid manual labor.  Hey it's part of the job.  She just gave me a little taste of what she goes through most days of the week.  Fortunately it was a teacher in-service day and no student were in school yet.  But it's going to interesting to see how the teacher merge these new devices into their curriculum.

  1. Clickers are fun! I actually haven't used them in instruction because I haven't taught a face-to-face class is a couple of years now. I hope you like your internship and provide loads and loads of free labor.
